The Three Rivers Area Community Foundation (TRACF) has established a COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund in response to the recent coronavirus pandemic. We stand in partnership with the Sturgis Area Community Foundation and St. Joseph County United Way to collect charitable donations and distribute them to individuals, and organizations serving those affected by COVID-19.
To date, TRACF has committed $10,000 to the Emergency Relief Fund and we are ready to match an additional $10,000 in received donations to provide direct financial assistance to local residents who have been impacted by community-wide quarantining measures. This includes individuals who have lost jobs or working hours, and who have encountered other financial hardships due to coronavirus restrictions. Additional phases of the Emergency Relief Fund will address the economic recovery once the crisis subsides by provide grants to our area nonprofit organizations and small business partners.
In times of need, our community bands together. We know that we will get through this emerging crisis. To those with the means to give during this difficult time, we ask that you consider donating to the Emergency Relief Fund. To those unable to give, we ask that you continue to demonstrate the spirit of the Three Rivers community. Please stay home whenever possible, find ways to check in on your neighbors, and help others find joy during these challenging circumstances.
All funds from the Three Rivers COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund will be distributed in the Three Rivers area, as defined by the Three Rivers Community School District boundaries.
